Marriage of Excellence

Renounce sexual immorality,

Start living for love and purity,

Remember the Saviour’s cross,

How much each blood-bought breath did cost.

If you blow smoke from a fag away,

How have you made this world a better day?

Only rotted your heart and lungs,

Filled tax man’s coffers with more bungs.

Look back to Calvary’s tree,

There the truth you will see.

For when He bled and died,

Sin’s bite of death was multiplied:

The Trinity shattered into three,

Spirit from flesh torn asunder,

Making the heaven’s thunder.

Many hours darkness reigned,

Till Christ came to life again!

So, give up those smoky joes,

Which steal health, wealth and snoozes!

Turn swords into hoes,

Seal-up tombs where no-one goes,

What’s the use in digging-up death?

Does archaeology fuel ecology?

Let old bones rest in peace,

Remember, they’re short of homes in the Middle East,

Finish the work, make sure the road is done,

Then you can find new projects – have some fun.

Jesus is Lord of all,

His love echoes through every human hall.

On immigration

This is a controversial topic, but we have to be open-minded here. Unless there is absolutely compelling evidence that someone should be banned from our country, then they should be allowed in to try – within suitable limits and subject to safeguards, bearing in mind the goal of integration, a diverse whole.

However, the first priority has to go to educating and training our own people to fill job vacancies here. Nevertheless, by allowing more competition and mixing – our communities seeing the sacrifices and hard work that has helped build other countries – we can inspire (or shame) those who are work-shy.

Is it really necessary to restrict student visas when all these individuals want to do is learn skills that they can take back to help their communities at home, or maybe stay and build a better here.  To be honest, the College and University system is one of the best ways to sort-out potential candidates coming into the country, giving people a fair chance, but with plenty of checks in place to weed-out anything unsavoury.  Tragically, Cameron’s government chose the soft target on this issue, rather than tackling core problems.

Please don’t adopt scare tactics on this issue, but be realistic and generous. The world is a large place and we’re building some excellent high-rise apartments, so don’t spoil the view!

Please Mr Cameron, listen…

Have you ever stopped and traced what’s happened in the UK over the past 100 years? Have you witnessed the spiraling cost of divorces and abortions on our social well-being, all copiously documented (see below), lest we forget?
Now you want to wholesale promote LGBT onto our young people, glamourising that lifestyle not just with ‘sex appeal’, but the allure of a seemingly stable, lifelong contract.
That’s not marriage. You may dress it up howsoever you choose, but your perversion is clear for the world to see.
Why does Britain have so few friends on the world stage? Why are we so divided in our Parliament that you can’t even muster a majority for teaching the morally bankrupt government of Syria a lesson.
It’s because – at the moment – you’ve lost your way badly and are floundering. Please come back to the truth. Soften your heart and let see that we’re all human being, messed and in need to help. God gives us the Way in Christ Jesus. Don’t shut the door in His face because you’ll only shut out all that is good and rosy in this world.
